Weatherizing a Netbook
Just ordered a DeLorme PN40 to use with my Netbook. I'm starting to plan now for some sort of system to keep as much dirt, dust, etc., out of my Netbook starting with some sort of keyboard cover.
Anybody done this or something similar? Looking for any and all attempts

Recently purchased a Dell mini 10 netbook for Delorme LT-40 GPS software. I mount the netbook on the top center dash area using strips of "Industrial Strength Velcro", taking care not to block the cooling vents.
Was concerned about the shiny plastic top getting scratched and dinged. So off to Walmart craft section for the sticky backed black felt square. It sticks nicely to the top of the netbook and appears to offer scratch and dust protection. The glue on the felt does not appear to attack the plastic. Works good for me.
Have not addressed the keyboard yet. Will wait and see. A person could probably dust the keys out with canned air.
