M101A1 Military Trailer for Sale - MD
This is the 3/4 ton US military trailer, not the smaller 1/4 ton Canadian M101 trailer. Both are excellent trailers. I've got both types.
I'm looking to sell a 3/4 ton US trailer. I've got 2 of them at the moment. Long story. I've got a MD state title for it (registered as homebuilt). It comes with the stays, canopy and the original military lights. There is some light surface rust and will have LED trailer lights installed to pass inspection. It will include all of the original wiring & light fixtures undamaged.
It's rated 1500lbs off-road and 2250 on-road.
This trailer still has the landing leg in the rear as well.
I'm located in Hollywood, MD and am willing to bring it up to the PA Jeeps show. I'm looking for $1200 and will provide a MD state inspection if you live in MD.

NICE! How does the JK do with that banger? I have been considering one but thought the weight might be an issue. Doesn't seem like it would being that it's <900 lbs empty! That would give me 600 lbs for cargo on my 2dr!

Empty weight is more like 1350. The ~900lb weight is just for the trailer chassis. WIth the bed, hoops & canvas it's more like ~1300. I thought the 2 doors were rated at 2000 lbs towing capacity, although that might be with the 3.73 or 4.1 axle ratios.
One other item I forgot to mention, you can pull the 2 bolts on the front of the trailer and set the trailer's parking brakes and use it as a dump/tilting bed.
It tows fine behind the JK, although I do have the 4.10s on the Rubicon. Depending on what you're hauling, you can remove the canvas and cut down on the wind resistance.

Price Update
OK. I'm guessing I priced myself out of the market.
Let's drop the price to...... drum roll please..............
$950. I have the MD title in hand.
Here it is with the canvas off and the wood stays stowed at the front.

Have you weighed it empty? Those 3/4 ton a1 should be closer to 900# empty, the older ones were much heavier and were the same as the 103 and 105.. If this was the flatbed 116 version I'd be all over it.. Looks like its in good shape.. Have you posted it over on G503.org? Can you do a quick measurement for me? How wide&long is the frame? In other words if the bed wasnt bolted down how big would the frame for a deck be??
Thanks,
Steve

Trailer
I'm interested in purchasing a mil-spec trailer in the $500 range under teh assumption I'll need to put some tires & work into it. Yours looks to be in good shape. Can I PM you for details regarding bearings, wheels, tires etc?
