Well, I'm happy to report that I finally found a solution against the heat in the rear section of our Unlimited. I placed an order, received promptly and installed just as promptly a nifty system found in California.
Now some people dislike the strong arm of the Laws of the State - but you gotta admit some of them have darn good ideas !
I was able to install it with two flexicuffs, a negth of wire to make it come back from the vent's inside, and a short time with the (provided) screwdriver.
Seypah now has her very own, dedicated A/C vent in her area !
