Who can tell me about Colorado...

That is just nuts!!! It has been freezing here the last few days, and although we have only seen 3 inches of snow, it has froze everything up... I work nights and the roads have been a glare of ice for the last 3 days, cars in the ditch, and wrecks all over the place. It always takes a month before the people around here learn winter driving again, it drives me crazy.

Ditto on Candyland!!! I moved here from MI in '05, and have never looked back. I grew up in Hart, spent 2 years in Houghton in the UP, 5 years in Traverse City, and 5 years in Grand Rapids. Many people move here because of the amazing outdoor activities, but few realize that the people are what sets the place apart. We really are the happiest people in America! Very laid back, very friendly, very tolerant. There is something to be said for 300+ days of sunshine per year and crazy scenery all around. You will find that the vibe here is very similar to what you find with the locals in Traverse City or Petoskey. If this sound good to you, get out here now. Welcome!
Just don't bring any of those uptight rude people who live East of US127 and South of US10. Unfortunately most of them just don't get it.
