Trails around Sedona and Flagstaff
I live in San Diego and find myself with next week off. I haven't explored arizona and thought I would go and take a look. Just me, my jeep and some camping gear.
Here is my plan so far.
Sunday - Monday drive to Phoenix and see friends
Tuesday - Drive to sedona, find a scenic trail, either camp or stay at a Motel
Wednesday - Thursday - Drive up to Flagstaff, find a scenic trail, either camp or stay at a Motel
Friday - Drive to the grand canyon, find a few nice lookouts, check out the glass bridge
Saturday - Drive to Las Vegas
Sunday - Head back to San Diego
Any thing I must see on my trip? Any suggestions on Trails? Anyone care to join me on the trail, the more the merrier? I am pretty fluid on the schedule.
Thanks

Google search for Broken Arrow Trail in Sedona, It an easy trail but the scenery is spectacular! Then there is Soldier Pass, Schnebly Hill, Diamondback Gulch, and quite a few more. In Flagstaff there is the Cinders and few more.

In Sedona stop by Barlow Jeep Rentals first and see Nena, she will give you maps and tons of information to all of the trails in the area.
Ask Nena to show you the photo's of the rental JK that flopped last week while on the Staircase on the Broken Arrow trail.
Take lots of photo's of your trip and then post them up here, have fun and be safe!

How can you flip on the staircase on Broken Arrow? That part of the trail is straight and really just wide enough for the jeep. You can barely steer, just go slow.

Many people try to avoid the large rock on the passenger side and by doing so get to far over on the left.
This renter had full lockers on and drove to far up on the drivers side rocks, it was to late and the JK flopped once onto its top, everyone was OK.
