Silverton/Ouray wheeling
Thinking about heading to the Sliverton/Ouray area from Aug 9th to about the 15th. Be nice to hook up with someone else in the area.

Shot me an email - we spend the summer in Montrose and belong to the Western Slope 4x4 club.
We might be able do do a trail or two. Everything is open except Black Bear which will be open this week.
Poughkeepsie opened last week and we did it Fri by ourselves - but caught uo to a group if FJ's - like twenty or so - more than enough company!

We did Stony Pass from Creede today and it was great. Pole Creek was lower than I ever remember (about 12 inches in the AM). Started sleeting in Silverton so drove to Ouray via MDH where it was light rain. Mineral Creek was great fun, almost empty. Engineers was muddy, lots of snow up high but road clear.

Hey y'all!
I put this on another thread as well,... Getting fired up!
I'm headed to the Vail Valley tomorrow and will end up in the SW part of the state Aug 7-13. Planning to run Holy Cross if it's open, then head west thru Mosquito/Independance to Aspen, then Pearl Pass to CB, Engineer into Silverton/Ouray, Black Bear, Schofield, Imogene,... Into Durango eventually.
Sunscribed to this thread and hoping to be able to meet up with some of you. Please say hello if you see me. I'll buy a round!

We will be @ CB 6-10 then Ouray 10-14. We'll have 2 jeeps until 10th then 3 jeeps until the 14th. Maybe we can get together with some other people for some of the trails.

I'm meeting another guy from Texas to run Holy Cross tomorrow (Monday). If you're interested in going, give me a shout. Probably go pretty early, meet in minturn and head to the trail.
