Default Recommendations for beginner trails near Moab?

Any recommendations for trails that I can look for and manage with zero off-road experience? I would like to get at least a little experience with a trip to Moab I have planned for early September.

I *was* planning on getting a Jamboree or two under my belt for some off-road experience before heading to Utah in early September. ...that hasn't quite worked out.

But, I still want to head out. I can make this more of a sight-seeing tour, but would still like to get a feel for what my Jeep can do.

From looking online at some trails, my impression that some easier trails might include:

Gemini Bridges
Potash Road, maybe onto the White Rim trail as far as the Gooseneck Overlook
La Sal Loop
the trail out to the Colorado Overlook in the Needles District

Any thoughts on whether the above items are suitable for my (no) experience level?

Any suggestions on other trails to look at?

Thanks!

Long Canyon and Hurrah Pass are nice scenic runs. These are graded road beds that offer no off road challenge but the views are wonderful.

Out of curiosity, did you need to air down your tires for Gemini Bridges? Were you in 4-Hi or 4-Lo?

Thanks!

i did not have to. its a rough dirt road with some small shelves at the very end that you can play on if you choose. i ran fins and things and gemini stock just watch your bumps on fins and it will be a blast.

No you don't need to air down to drive on a dirt road.

Unless the whole trail is a dirt road which can be done in 2WD, my advice would be to engage 4-Lo at the trailhead and leave it there until you're back on pavement.

If you're going to make the trip out to Moab you might as well challenge yourself and your Jeep to some degree. I would recommend Fins & Things and Elephant Hill. They can both be done in a stock Jeep by a driver with little to no off-road experience, yet they're also fun, confidence-inspiring trails.

Go to that website and look into trails that are rated a 3 or a 3 1/2.
