Pasta Jays is good. The Moab Dinner is great diner food and reasonably priced. I've never eaten there but people tell me that La Hacienda is a thirty year old family owned restaurant and the best Mexican in town. The splashy Mexican place down town on Main St sucks.

My all time favorite is Moab Brewery. If the people I'm with don't gripe too much I'd eat damn near every meal there. The prices are great, great selection to choose from, good quantities, good beer and friendly service. Now Eddie McStiffs is the exact opposit of Moab Brewery. They're stingy on portions and their prices are much higher. The wife and I were wheeling in Moab over the Holidays and had essentially the same meals and beers at McStiffs and Moab Brewery. McStiffs was 55 and MB was 35. And the food at MB was much better and hot when delivered; McStiffs was barely warm - I'll never darken their door again.

We were there this summer my kids loved the moab dinner the brewery was my favorite and for a little treat the sunset restaurant was great a little $$$ but the view and food were awesome. Mcstiff's perfect name for that place...not so good.

You're right; the good place is La Hacienda and on the left coming in from the river. The flashy tan stucco place right down town is Miguels Baja Grill and is absolutely awful. The food was a cut above microwave from the freezer and the drinks are expensive and lousy. The service was surly and perfunctory. My wife got the worst Margarita she's ever had there.

The Sunset Grill is the best place in town but espensive Moab Diner has great diner food. Moab Brewery has a great variety and excellent food at reasonable prices. Eddie McStiffs will stiff you with marginal food at high prices. Pasta Jays and Zax are ok, but nothing to write home about.

If you are with your wife, fiancé or girlfriend and you want to win some points. Check out the sunset grill! It has a great view of Moab and the food is excellent! Just make sure they don’t have a magazine dinner or banquet when you want to go. I would call ahead.

pretty much if your there for a few days you will eat at all the good places..its more of a battle of waiting and getting a seat in a decent amount of time on EJS week/weekend. Its a small small town with thousands and thousands of extra people! lol
