Yea, I had read about the State Trust Land permit and was curious.

Back east, where my buddies like to wheel, the DNR gave tickets to every jeep that went to an organized Jeep Jamboree. I wasn't sure how strict authorities are out here is all :-)

Wish I could make it. Sounds like a great time and I have not done that trail in seven years. Side note, added my Mopar light bar yesterday.

5. Recreational motorized vehicles may not be operated within ¼ mile of any building (occupied or not), paved surfaces (roadways, etc.) or stock tanks (wet or dry), or within any area Closed by the State Land Commissioner or where is otherwise prohibited by State, County or local ordinance.

6. You will leave gates either open or closed as they are found. No fences will be cut or laid down.

7. You will not harass livestock or wildlife nor damage, destroy or remove any livestock or wildlife improvements or facilities (i.e., windmills, stock tanks, fences, corrals, wildlife watering facilities, etc.)

12. By acceptance of the permit, you agree to indemnify and hold the State harmless from and against all liabilities, obligations, damages, penalties, claims, causes of action, cost, charges and expenses, including attorney's fees and cost, which may be imposed upon, incurred by, or asserted against the State by reason of any accident, injury or damage to any persons or property occurring on or about the Arizona Trust land or any portion thereof resulting from the use of the permit.

And the permit is like $20.00 bucks, for a family, for one year. Pretty cheap to be legal if you ask me.

Default Party crashing

Would love to crash the party tomorrow. Have a 2010 with a 3.5 RK on 35s, but still have the 3.73 gears. Anyone with experience on this trail see a problem with that? Not looking to bust it all up before I can afford the good stuff. Also, looks like that Chevron is on the S side of HWY 60, there on Goldfield Rd. Correct?

You should have no problems with your gearing. There will be very little rock crawling and the little that there is, there are plenty of easy lines to take. And yes, the Chevron station is on the south side of Hwy 60. See you in the morning.

My name is Chris, btw :-) I'll be bringing a friend.

Chevron Address:
3265 South Goldfield Road
Apache Junction, AZ 85119

let me know if that isn't correct.

Will we be taking the 60 entrance or the E Price station rd entrance? Either way doesn't matter, just curious :-)
