Thanks everyone for the advice!! You all are funny!
I'll also be working P/T at REI in Phoenix and the high school that I'll be working at is very close to there so I'm centering my search around Tatum/Cactus so I can be close to both places of employment.
Do you all find that there are a lot of houses for rent? I have a dog and would rather live in a house rather than an apartment...

We might want to get to the Sand Bar a little early. From what everyone is saying it's going to be very busy since they open at 11am. There will be live bands all day/night and drink specials. I might show up around 5pm to hopefully get a table.

I have quoted everyone talking about where the "Sand Bar" is. The location is Northern and the 101 freeway just west of the 101near Westgate or the Cardinals stadium. We usually get there around 6ish but we might need to get there sooner as it will fill up being the 5th of May.

If it is scheduled for that night anyone up for an afternoon M&G on the Northside of town?? I'll be coming down from Anthem then and still not too famiiar with what and where are things.

Happy Cinco De Drinko!!!

As for where to live - WES SIDE

However, if you are, or like to hang out with "pretty people" - Snotsdale is for you!!! (Moved from there a few years back - lost my Pretty People Card - see me now and you'll know why)

It's a bit wierd here in AZ - seems like there are two distinct groups of folk that truly belong and fit in, the East or the West - I know a few Eastsiders that really belong on the Wes Side -they know who they are...

Eitherway and all kidding aside, we have great people here regardless of the hood they claim. I have not meet anyone here that i dont like hanging out with or wheel'in. You will enjoy our group and any part of the Valley you select...

Goodluck with your decision...

Craigslist and do something like Remax.com and put in Scottsdale or Paradise Valley with prices from say 100-1200 and that'll bring up rentals
