Well this is what ya gotta do when ya "pop the tubes" (axle tubes come loose from differential third member (pumpkin)on the front axle). My tires were like this /-\ so I chained and used a 20 ton jack to straightened the front tubes and got the front tires like this l l and then welded in the truss and bolted the front diff cover to the truss.

Bob, I don't recall what wire it was, I know what your meanin,,,,, but, we burnt er HOT, and I do have a lot of metal all around the Pumkin tied to the tubes welded on both sides of the 3/8's and 1/4" metal plates. We also welded up the machine holes in the Housing where you can see the tubes (where the tubes slide in the housing). My tubes were loose in the housing (pop the factory welds). I think it's all good to go now. I guess time will tell. I really don't see how those tubes can go anywhere now.

SS, do you mean steering stabilizer? If so they are lying to you. The steering stabilizer only will help hide death wobble, it is not the cause of death wobble.
Use planman's write up to go over your jeep to fix death wobble. It is better than the dealership tying to bs you into coverup fix like a steering stabilizer.

Also make sure when you inspect your track bar and control arms that you make sure the bushings are not worn out, have play or that the holes are wallowed out. Then when you put everything back together, tighten everything to spec when the jeep is on the ground/under load. This includes the lock nuts on adjustable control arms and track bars.
Good luck and be safe.

Have you called Teraflex about those bushings?

I had to edit this post. What about this bushing? Is it the right one?

Post #27 Teraflex says they can replace both ends of the arm.

BTW I would still ask Teraflex how to do that replacement of the upper bushing. It looks like a PITA. I only found one reference to it on another forum and it didn't sound like a fun job. Maybe Teraflex has a secret they would share with you.
