We should look at going to Florence Junction. Some way cool scenery and medium difficulty trails. What do you think?

I have not done Flagstaff/cinders, but I am up for it.

Florence Junction is fun too. I have done box canyon there and it is pretty easy, but it is really cool looking.

I have gone to Martinez Cabin and Mine before, once in a friend's jeep and once in mine. I don't have lockers and the rock garden gets really big up close to the mine. I got my jeep up to about 200 yards from the mine buildings and walked the rest. So doing the Martinez Canyon loop is totally out of the question for me.

I would like to do the Coke Ovens sometime. That looks like fun.

I have done a few other harder trails in FJ too, but again they were done in a buddy's jeep.

I saw a few really nice JK's at the Arizona Elk Society meeting on Saturday. Just wondering if anyone from here was there?

I was up there last weekend with some visitors from Canada. We drove from there through the town of Jerome. What a beautiful drive in those hills.

I have heard the Cinders is really loose gravel most of the time and Lockers are definatley needed. What do you all think who have done this before? Lockers?

We can always go and do the Sunflower Mine trail. Its definatley a lot harder than anything we've done together. Lockers arent necessary but definatley make it a hell of a lot easier. Some sections are way harder than others, but with a little creative spotting we can all get through it! Let me know what you think. Weather does change this trail however, but it is a beautiful one with the mine you can go right up to.

I was just up there 2 months and there are tons of trails and most of them you don's need lockers as long as its hard dirt. By the way my name is Jason from Litchfield Park. I met azrwilkinson the other day.
We need to set a Meet & Greet now. Some new ppl to the PHX area now!

Yes meet and greet now! I like metro center or ne phoenix for the nextone but everyone should chime in!!!

I cant wait to go to florence. I was thinking about taking a weekend trip down there and camping around the first of october. It would be cool to plan a trip for the whole weekend and see if we can get the tucson crew to meet up there. Anyone interested???

Ive been to the cinders but not with my jeep. I dont know how much fun it would be in the jeep. I remember everything being very loose gravel and very steep. It was a lot of fun on my quad though and might be nice just to check out for a day and get out of the heat
