A shovel, steel stake, 30' tow strap, if ya got a locker wrap the strap around a tire with diff locked, stake or wrap strap around a boulder or tree, put it in gear and slowly give er gas the strap will wrap around the tire and pull you forward or back if ya do it on the rear tire, it can be done.

Trip

I just got back from a nice little vacation in San Antonio. The 2 day drive in the jeep was a *blast*! Some thoughts
on the experience:

- Doorless and Topless is the way to go. Even for a 17 hour drive (split over 2 days)
- Footpegs are *awesome* for these long drives.
-- Corollary: Rustoleom doesn't stick too well to unprepped chrome...

- You need to drink *lots* of water.
- With all that water, you'll stop frequently, and sometimes you have to make your own "rest stops"

- You can *not* use too much sun block
- Carry extra fuses, heh!
- The short rainstorms are a godsend!
-- Corollary Do *not* let a semi pass you on the driver side during said rainstorms... >:(
- Become BFF's with 4th and 5th gear (manual tranny). My 3.23 gears *hated* 6th, lol!
- An enthusiastic wave from another Jeeper is awesome after hours of driving!
- the kids will always stare at you in awe
- The wimmin folk will often look at you in envy
- The guy folk will often look at you in frustration
-- Anger if the wimmin use envy
- Its much more fun to "sneak" across the border

Somehow I blew the fuse to my accessory plug. Also just so happened to be where my stereo gets power. Road trip with no tunes isn't nearly as much fun

Dazole that sounds like a blast! I really like the pic with the AZ sign that's a wallpaper pic! Ditto on the looks, coming back from a recent trip in the middle of the NV desert I experienced the same thing. I think I enjoyed the looks from the kids the most. They don't try and hide the look of envy...

I am too much of a wuss to drive around doorless and topless when its this hot outside. But cooler weather will be here soon and considering the doorless thing.
