I think Crown King will be a better option for me because it is closer to civilization for that just in case. The trip to crown king is about 4-5 hours. Burger and beer in ck, then I think it is about an hour back to north Phoenix on i17.

Sounds good to me. Just let me know when and where you guys are meeting.. You guys take the castle hot springs entrance to CK?

I usually run the lake pleasant side of castle hot springs up to ck. The bypasses are the tougher obstacles, so the main trail is stock capable. I think we will plan on 8-830 at the trail head. Take carefree highway to lake pleasant castle hotsprings. Follow the road to the T and make a left. The pavement ends about an 1/8 mile up. We can meet right there.

Sounds like most of you are headed to Crown King instead of Sunflower on Saturday, so I am calling off the Sunflower run. I would go to CK if I didn't have plans at 5pm. So you guys have fun and we will try it again some other time.

Yes jlabe2. Sorry but sunflower is a little to remote for me on a new suspension. I do want to run it but might have to wait until it cools off for a later start time. I work second shift and don't get home until midnight.
