How hard is it to instal sleeves ? Do you have to remove the front axle or can it be welded in without dropplng the axle ? I have a welder and the tools. Just wondering if its worth the trouble, or just take it in.

I Think a Flagstaff cinders run or Sedona run would be great..................I believe to do it right you will have to drop the axle, want to make sure you get all the drill shavings out of the tubes before you plug weld the sleeves.

Teraflex has sleeves and "C" gussets on ebay for about 145.00 shipped. I definetely need to find out about doing this mod with axle under the jeep before I start though.
If you are going to do it please let us know how it goes.

Default Sleeves.....

I have been going back & forth with this, If I sleeve & gusset and even go to a crv axle all I have is a beefed up D30 ! I would rather keep my eyes open for a D44 and beef it up,cause I know down the road I will end up with a D44 anyway and have to do it all over again. I'm trying not to keep MODing my MODS

The tube size and C's are the same size on a D44, once I change I am going to a Dynatrac or a 60.

Thats a great philosophy! But what about I am too lazy and rather pay somone else to do it?
