It does attach to the factory hinge POINTS, but with some really stout bracketry and beefier hardware than the factory. I jumped on and tugged on this thing and absolutley no movement other than in my pants These things are incredibly strong. Take a look at the meet and greet.

No Rotopax, a lot more expensive and a gallon less fuel...I dont think its worth it. Besides already have 2 metal fuel cans on the way.
