Wow, I had not seen the escalator until I just searched youtube. Yikes. That looks like trouble.

I'm proud to say that I'll follow voodoo's lead in "no way" to that one. I plan to drive my JK home on Sunday.

For those that do not have a CB try and pick up an FRS radio from any electronics store. They don't have the range of CBs but they work just fine on the trail and they're pretty cheap with WalMart having the best overall prices. Motorola is the best brand to get.

I would also like to express a friendly reminder to make sure you have plenty of warm clothing on hand. The weather can change dramatically in a blink of an eye so being prepared for the worst possible weather conditions is a must. Warm jackets, hats, gloves, blankets, boots are all good to have on hand just in case the weather goes bad.

If anyone has topo maps, the Charles Wells Moab book, an analog compass and a GPS make sure you bring them. Also, spare parts, tools, bungee cords, ratchet straps, bailing wire, pry bars, fuses, tow straps, first aid kits, etc... that you think may come in handy would be worth bringing.

One last thing, if anyone has medication that they need please make sure you bring it. I experienced a situation once where a fellow wheeler forgot their heart meds and didn't realize it until we were 2 hours away from the highway and an additional 3 hours away from home. He started experiencing shortness of breath and dizziness which led to a very hectic scramble to get him to a medical center.

Ha ha... let's go wheelin!

Is an FRS radio like the two way motorolas? I have a bunch of those.....in preparation for RED Dawn of course.......
