Stony Pass was great, came across from Creede so long drive into Silverton. Started sleeting so took highway to Ouray. Mineral Creek was great, even with rain. Didn't get Cinnamon in, but Engineers was fun too, lots of snow still but road was clear. Whole drive took about 11 hours with a little sightseeing in Silverton and Ouray.

here's our route and time.
1st day
We left Durango at 10, went into Silverton, then headed up towards Animas forks took Picayne Gulch up to Calf gulch dropped down to Animas Forks and ate Lunch, then back too Calf Gulch to Hurricane Pass over to Corkscrew Gulch to HWY 550 into Ouray. got into Ouray at about 6pm...
2nd day
Left Ouray at 10am, went up Mineral Creek (Ouray start of Alpine loop) and took engineering pass to the look out spot (just before the offical pass) had lunch. took engineering pass back down to Animas Forks, went up Cinnamon Pass to the American Basin. then went down Cinnamon Pass towards Lake City a few miles... turned around and headed back up Cinnamon Pass then down into Silverton. got into Silverton about 6:30pm had dinner then headed back to Durango.
both days had lots of stopping and picture taking and a little hiking.

I am working on the pics, and a few videos and will post them as I get them done..

enjoy your trip... you can't go wrong..
I'll be doing stoney pass probably later this year or next.. but it also sounds great.
