Jeeps going to Colo for the first time.
Headed to Silverton/Ouray area for the first time in the Jeep.
we will be mainly doing the easy trails
Red Mtn, Calf Gulch, Cork screw, Hurricane, mineral creak, parts of engineer and cinnamon passes...

Heading to Lake City for a week Friday also. Driving a Mango Rubicon. Perhaps we'll pass.
Looking forward to compare this one to my old TJ. Going to be doing Stony Pass, Mineral Creek, Engineers and Cinnamon Monday. Maybe Imogene and Black Bear on Wednesday.

So I have the books,, also somewhat familuar with the area with my 99 Blazer.
we will be there two full days... heading home on Sunday. Then well be back later in Sept for a few more weekends and one week for the fall colors..
I'll post pics....
this area is a must for those who like the mtns....

We had a great day... I will say East of HWY 550, between Silverton and Ouray.
Picayune Gulch, to Calf Gulch to Animas Forks, Back thru all of Calf Gulch to Hurricane Pass, to Cork Screw Gulch to HWY 550 into Ouray...
pics are taking forever to download...
Goofy's are ready...
