Gear install Boulder area
Any recommendations for reputable and fair priced shops that do gear installs in the Boulder area? Planning to change to 5.13s in the next few months. I want to handle heading up 70 this summer without driving 40mph in the slow lane!

Don't know about Boulder, but High Country 4x4 is a good place in Englewood.
HCP 4x4 is the most knowlegeable place I've found in the area. They charge a little more, but offer a LIFETIME warranty on the gears with a yearly check.
4wheel parts is great for pricing on parts, but the maintenance service sucks.

Bummer. I was under the impression that while changing gears won't have me blasting up the mountains at 70mph, it would help a fair amount with keeping the jeep in the right gear and steady pace unlike the stock gears do. Am I totally off base there?

.johns4x4.com has treated me well. I just did a 5:13 upgrade and it was good. They know what they are doing. I have unfortunately subscribed to a break it to build it philosophy. They see alot of me and LeftHandRubi. Check them out. there good.
Getting the Gears upgraded was one of the single most pleasing mods ive done. You will be so much happier with them. With the 35's and the superchips you will be back to par.

Ramfublio and LeftHandRubi - would either of you be willing to post or PM me what John's 4x4 charged you for gears? I called them Monday and when they gave me the quote I felt like it was on the high side.
