it actually is a pretty good story. Just after we had aired down, our leaders got flagged down by a couple on the dirt access road. turns out that they had gotten stuck by sliding off an embankment in their full size pick up the day before and were getting desperate. they spent the day in the truck in 105+ temperatures running the A/C and drinking all their water. no one was able to help them out. they were desperate for gas, water and a strap. they ended up spending the night in their truck before we arrived.

so our leaders, being the fine sorts they were, volunteered to help.

after attaching the strap and tugging, the front driver's u-joint snapped.

after finally getting them out, they took off as fast as they could leaving us to deal with the broken axle.

names of the innocent have been protected.

Hey Tony, A guy from work with (I think a) 89 TJ Anyway, he was our leader . He broke the L/F Axle. It only set us back an hour. It would have been a lot faster if the damn spindle nut wasn't so tight ! Any way ,no big deal. He is realy good at wheelin so he finished the day on three wheel drive. That's what you get for bein the good guy.

Hey Robert, Did you get the pics ? Let me know if you didn't. If so, I hope they are good enough, It's hard to capture everyone at the right moment and keep wheelin yourself. I think we got some good shots of everyone. Pass them on to Mike and whoever if you would.
