If you look long enough you will find one.
There was a fool in Dacono who had a 3 year old but never used Warn 8000. I called him and he would take $500 for it. I went over to his house with cash.
Another person called him from Wyoming before I got to his house. The Wyomingite offered $550. The fool told me, cash in hand, that I could have first dibs if the Wyomingite did not come through. I politely left.
I went home and ordered a new one, got it delivered for about $600 if I remember right.
The fool called me three days later. Wyoming had backed out on him. I thanked the fool for motivating me to spend the extra hunsky for a new one.
If you shop with cash in hand and you are not shy about offering less you can find a deal. There is a Warn dealer in Ft Collins that stocks winches they rebuild and that they will warranty.
Keep looking and good luck!

Yeah, I have more free time then I do money so rebuilding one sounded like fun to me. So if NTX changes his mind I'll will pick up the one from ClownPoop (Funny Sh!#, right there). I like playing with that kinda stuff.
CL is wlways a gamble. Sometimes it's a good deal. Sometimes the people make you drive for an hour and a half and then don't show or answer their phone while you wait for them in the king soopers parking lot.

its funny...i said the same about CL. Some of these old warns are cool but they are junkyard trash and they still ask $600 for it. The cables are so kinked from sitting under a junk car for 15 years but somehow its a bargain to them.
