it is up 285 past conifer by about 20 minutes. one of my favorite spots.

 

Slaughterhouse had snow on it yesterday - about 4 inches in the heavily treed in areas.(Friday 5/16) I ran it around 4:30 pm. There was one set of tracks that made it not even half way. Down the first long hill they slid off the edge into a tree, turned it around and went back out. I kept going. The southern portion of the trail - after the meadow was in great shape - not much snow at all. By late today or Sunday there probably won't be any snow at all.

 

On a side note, I was up in the Rollinsville area last weekend. The easy stuff like Pickle Gulch, Mammoth Gulch and Corona/Rollinsville Pass still had major snow drifts blocking the way...

 

I will be playing in Fairplay over the Memorial Day weekend. I suspect a bunch of snow will still be on the trails. This time last year 3-4' drifts were across some of the trails.
I am heading down to High Country Performance 4x4 today to check out the open house. Maybe have some 60's installed.

 

damn old school i forgot about the open house! if you got some extra $$ could you pick me up some 60's too!

I'll probably hit Slaughterhouse again today. I don't feel like driving all the way out to Boulder, and it's too late to head down to Buena Vista.
