we are going to try to camp in the park. they have really nice camping area's and it's pretty cheap. it's only 10 bucks a night and 5 if you have a national land use pass. we are hoping to camp fri. and sat. night there.

My plan is to camp in the Park providing they are not booked. Who else is going to be there? Is everyone camping in that campground?

i hope they aren't booked either. some folks are camping outside of the park i know, but i'm not sure where everyone is staying. so far i don't' think anyone else from the forum is going, but we'll see if other show up. if you can find two empty spots, we'll camp next to you, otherwise we'll just see you there friday night.

The main campground at Capitol Reef usually fills up.

If you follow the Cathedral Valley loop road, there is another small campground that is free and also doesn't see much traffic. I have stayed there before. Just another option

thanks for the tip. i'll keep that in mind. i'm really hoping its not full. we were there in May in the camp ground was far from full, so i am hoping this weekend will be another case of that. if not, i'll have to go check out where you are talking about.
