voodoojk,

I was born in Glenwood Springs...it's a great "little" mountain town, but I haven't been there in a while except to pass through on my way to Moab or California or...

I can understand the cost of living issue there, but I'm a little surprised it's that high...sounds like how it would be in Breakenridge, Vail, or somewhere like that. No matter what, as long as you're happy where you're at, then that's all that matters.

All in all, Colorado is GREAT and there are definitely many choices to settle down.

Yeah its pretty bad here price wise. A little home downtown right on grand ave is selling for $460k.. HOme are comming down in prioce but the only thing under $300k is a condo or trailer. AS you know...its "aspen Valley" so the prices crept to here.

I live in Vail - the least expensive single family home listed here right now is $995K, $400K will get you a 600-700 square ft condo. Prices are a little better down valley, 2br/2ba condos for $350K and homes for $500K. Hopefully some of the east coast financial sector fools who drove the prices up here will have to take some of the medicine that is going around and sell for losses. That is my only hope for getting into the home market here.

notatoy,

Welcome to the forum. I'll definitely keep my eyes open for you and give you a wave or for sure...in fact, I think I may have seen you in the recent past. Either way, I'm sure we'll cross paths at some point, considering we live in the same town. I'm near Bowles and Simms in case you're ever over in that area, so keep your eyes peeled.

I've noticed there's a few of us on here that are in Littleton...I'd love to know about any close and quick trails that I could hit on a Saturday afternoon or something like that...anyone know of any?

Regardless, as I've said a number of times already, we will definitely have to get a good size crew and hit some local trails (others from the forum would be welcome of course). I just really want to find some decent trails that aren't too far away because it can be pretty tough for me to get away...even on the weekends...busy job, married, 2 kids, 1 kid on the way...oh yea and a puppy. I know excuses excuses. I also want to participate in some of the other bigger group runs and Moab trips, but the local and quicker trips will definitely be easier to justify and do more often.

Anyways, it's great to see so many fellow Jeepers on the Four Corners forum, especially around the Denver and surrounding areas, and I can't wait to meet and wheel with you

Nick
