So I'm pretty sure I'm not the only Jeeper in AZ who got attacked by hail.
Where have you guys gone or who do you guys recommend for ding repairs and what was the damage? If you guys have pics please share them.
I'm basically on my own on repairing these dings from those damn ice balls.
Here are some pics of what the hail did

Oh I know I wish, if the damage just for the hood is in the 600 hundred ballpark I'm just gonna save up for the hood.

Paint-less dent repair and hail technician work has gone up about three-fold with the recent storms in the area. I work at the Penske group compound (Scottsdale & the 101) and the number of damaged cars is approaching 1200. It will be months till everything is back to normal. In all, the insurance companies are dealing with about 60,000 house and auto claims from that evening.
It's pretty crazy seeing the events unfold. I had no idea how many hail techs (aka "Hail Chasers) flock to an area in cases like this. We had a guy in our shop repairing the hail damage from a new Audi S5 Cabriolet and it was flawless when he was done. These guys are more like artists than anything else. It was amazing watching him work.
From what we've seen the heat works some of the dents out by itself and those little $20 Hail repair kits you buy online actually do work really well. So that's the route im going for now. The AEV hood is much farther down the list of mods, so I doubt my claim will make a "dent" (
) in the budget for that.

From what our Hail Specialist said, these kits are okay, but not for all types of dents. If not done correctly or attempted on the wrong type of dent, they could cause more damage.
I'm surprised at how many Youtube videos are on this subject. Wow.
I called my insurance company today. They have posted a rep at Van Chevrolet (and more around the valley) for the next few weeks taking appointments.
Sounds kinda fishy to me how they pay me right away based on the estimate, minus my deductible. However, I'm sure most people just take the money and run, which, in a way, is like setteling since I'm sure the estimates always come up short of the actual repair. It was explained when the work is done - if it cost more to repair they will pay the difference.
I'll be pricing some hoods this week. Anyone in the valley got the hook-up on paint work?
Camp, this is the perfect opportunity to sell a Phoenix area JK a Cop4x4 Hemi Hood. Just sayin..
