The AEV guys are doing there upmost to figure things out trust me. Just received an update, they have been working later than normal hours to figure out my questions. They said they will work on an email tomorrow revealing their results.

All I can say is that they are absolutely committed to their products and even if a problem does crop up with your stuff, it will get sorted asap.

Just for info, if you want rapid replies, use their personal emails and not their forum PM service.

Looking good, mate! BTW, those chrome side steps can be replaced with much better stainless steel ones. That's what I did on mine. Gimme a shout if you need the link for where to get them.

I was thinking I might want change to rock rails with a small built in step instead though, will wait a while.

 

Took the jeep for a spin, handles better than stock, a lot less body roll in corners, nicer ride- a bit firmer but not as bouncy. Very pleased with it
Makes it a lot more fun to drive.

AEV are sending new hardware and maybe a new bracket. I also asked them to send the bilstein damper, the yellow OME doesnt really blend in with the black, red & silver colour scheme. Also the Bilstein will give better clearance for the ARB diff cover.

..... how fast do you take corners

Never notiied any rolling except loosing the back end when its wet & bit greasy.
So then.... is it smoother, like has that 'buckboard' ride on slightly uneven roads been erradicated ? (This would stop some 'coments' coming from the other seat for me )
Is there any resistance with the 'meaty' wheels.
Do you notice any differance in acceleration with the 35's... Whats it like on the Motorway, (or are you waiting to get the replacement stuff first ) ... more detail please.
... and are AEV modifying their RHD kits, (for us lesser mechanically minded) following your experience

Mmmm.... Just thinking about a holiday down Deven & Cornwall its been a few years and as you've got all summer off..... you'll be looking for something more to do...

To be honest I need to take it for a few more drives, It was hard trying to take everything in at once. Only went for a short drive down the coast as I still need to inform insurance etc about the mods. They want an MOT to prove its road worthy, that is booked for Thursday. I will have a more 'in depth review' after then

No, resistance as such I dont think, need to play around with tyre pressures, currently got them at 30psi. Did notice they like to collect stones though...

From the brief drive I actually think that the CRD with 4.10 (i think that is what I have) is better suited to the larger tyres.

AEV said that they will be making the bracket a bit less toleranced to allow for fluctuations in different vehicle, ie making it an easier fit. The said that they had tried installing a RHD kit just to test my theories and they agreed that it was a tight fit.
I didnt really get to the bottom of why my hardware was wrong but they are sending new stuff out, and mocking it up over there to make sure it all works.
They pointed out that their warehouse had also shipped out 4 wrong brackets for the drivers side swaybar link, which meant that the two swaybar hole do not sit level. I have one of those wrong brackets and they are powder coating now and should send everything out Monday or Tuesday.
This bracket the swaybar hole sits too high up (it is a bracket meant for the LHD kit)
