Nope doing the work myself. The old man helped out with holding the hood when drilling it but everything else I just take my time on. Nothing too complex.

Tyre carrier was actually not too bad(no welding, just have to drill two 3/8" holes), took a bit to adjust, but probably still need to check again when I finish everything else off. The worst part was trimming the stock bumper. Didnt really have the right gear, ended up drilling lots of holes along where I wanted and using a jigsaw to try and cut what was left; as you might have noticed in the pics in my sig that I had a bit of a slip will the drill and went through the other side- just put some black silicone in it and its not too bad. Still need to wire up the CHSML, backup camera, lights and CB to it; but will start the wiring when all the mechanical stuff is done.

Hopefully the coppers will have better things to worry about, but who knows. I know that I cant afford/dont like any after-market fenders so I will take a gamble.

Both the calipers and muffler were wire brushed with a drill for quite some time to remove as much rust as possible. Just used Halfords caliper paint, not sure it will last, only did three rough coats because I dont really have patience for paint drying. For the muffler I used high temp paint on, but it hasnt adhered to the metal. Just going to have to live with it until I find a stainless one.

Gear sticks were VERY easy to install, literally a minute job. All you do is pull the old ones off (dont have to loosen anything just pull hard) and there is a grub screw on the new ones.

Just put the rear brake lines in and extended the axle breather up into the rear light housing today. Also pulled the front bumper off. Need to figure out what lights I am getting for the new front bumper. Hopefully needle gun and brake rotors will arrive tomorrow so I can get the lift on

Ebay of all places... went for the cheaper Apec ones instead of the EBC. Will see how they do, as I would prefer to change them more regularly due to rust rather than pay for expensive ones and have to look after them. They should turn up tomorrow.

Rear brake lines installed, front bumper ripped of and front frame cleaned up and hammerited. Should be able to give the rear a few coats tomorrow and will start the front bumper/winch install.

What was it like getting the springs in position ?
What length are those brake lines.
Did you hammerite all the axel aswell ?

Springs were all right actually, just need two people (one to raise/lower the axle) I thought that I would need spring compressors but with the axle hanging loose it works out fine.

Not sure the actual length but they are the crown lines from quadratec for kits between 3-4"

Yeh actually just finished hammeriting the whole chassis today, still need to do the front axle but i will start stripping that down tomorrow for the front suspension install.

Put the ARB rear diff cover on today with the lubelockers, finishes it off nicely.

Just ordered some lightforce 170's for the front bumper
