Had a nice bit of stainless made up for £45, not bad considering that the stainless tip costs £39 if new online, and there was welding etc to do.
It was made up using bits and pieces he had laying about (didnt have any brand new 2.5" pipe), think the square tip is second hand but who cares, it gets rid of the massive muffler.

It is removable so I can change back to stock if needed

"No that MPG was fairly relaxed driving, I am getting about 20-21 now that I am driving as my usual. ( I am not crazy fast just like to accelerate) To compare, when it was stock and the same sort of driving I was only getting about 23.5.
I think that the MPG will deff go down from stock just due to the weight but that is something that can be expected, and to give an accurate value for you would be hard as we all have our different driving styles, expect about a 1-3mpg drop."


You must be heavy footed.
Just got back from the Lakes, just taking my time, letting gravity do it job on the down hill sections. Came back via Hartside pass & Alston and averaged 33.5mpg over the 5 days.
I usually ave 27 - 29 on day to day driving in summer 2 mpg less in winter. (2HI)

Did you recalibrate with the procal.. was that straight forward to do ?
Like the squared off tail pipe too. Much extra noise now ?
Also did you get the replacement parts from AEV delivered & fitted ?

I'm about questioned out now I guess

Procal is straight forward, takes two mins to use. Done the tyres, set at 33.75" speedo is accurate with the pioneer gps.

Sounds pretty much the same actually, turbo muffles most of the engine noise anyway so that box is useless.

Still waiting on the parts from aev, not sure if they have sent them yet, seems to be working fine the way it is so no urgent rush for them.

I do thrash the jeep most the time, wish I had a HEMI... maybe in a few years.

Well i am clad you liked the AEV kit, pity about the fitting problems, i was impressed with mine, everything fitted like a glove, and all the bolts were ok.
Like the reverse camera, could have done with that yesterday, perhaps i wouldnt have ended up on a stump, while trying to reverse out of the the first problem.

So when i see a full AEV black JK on M5, that will be you then.

reverse cam is very useful now, cant see much out the back with the 35's

Yup. I think I might have seen yours one the motorway several months ago. It was a green JK which looked very mean, only caught a glimpse of it though.

You gone to the full evo front and rear now then? Must be sweet! Does it drive well?

Not sure exactly the difference for front/back, will have to measure at some point, but the highest point of the hardtop sits just over 6' 4".

Nope, I have stock 4.11's. Personally I think that the larger tires feel better than stock as the stock gears were very 'short'.

The AEV parts should arrive on Wednesday.

I guess you'll soon enough find out whether you need to or not. Your JK looks nice and the suspension should work well. I'm a great fan of AEV! Good luck!
