There are areas, in Winslow for example that are completely legal and do not have named streets and are not on maps/gps. I have been there and spoke with state police and DNR.

So agree good practice but there are some legal unnamed "roads".

Not trying to start any arguments. Just don't wanna see anyone get in trouble. I've spoke extensively with the NJ Park Police about legality of off-roading. So not according to the "NJ Park Police" who have the jurisdiction, most "unnamed" roads are only legal to you if you are actively hunting or fishing....these spots in Winslow are fish and game lands. They are patrolled by Conservation officers & Park Police

Yeah lots of gray areas...I actually received a ticket for $75 for straying off a "road" in Winslow when park police told me dirt roads are not off limits but open areas are a no go. He actually told me where to go and what roads were bad so I could "test out my 4wd"
