Replacement for my busted passenger side axle u-joint - $25.00
Dewalt 18V cordless impact (to pull the axle nut) - $300.00
Being able to say that I followed RDY4RKS on the black trails at RC over Easter weekend - priceless!

Paramaniac, I won't lie to you, RDY takes the toughest lines on the toughest trails and makes them look easy. Fortunately for me, he is an excellent spotter, and treated my JK like it was his own. I wouldn't hesitate to follow him again - unfortunately, it will have to be another weekend. I've been away from home for the last 5 weekends, so I'm going to have to get some things done around the house this weekend.

Hope to see everyone on the trails again soon.

JD - Too bad about your ujoint, but considering the trails you did that was not too bad damage. And now you have an impact gun for the future.

Looks like I am going be able to spend both Sat and Sun out at RC this weekend.

So who is up for Sat and/or Sunday?

Can not make the 25th Tine has a conference at Disney World again, so Nikolaj and I will be down there with her. Have fun, catch everyone some other time.

BTW Joe the skid plate is installed and looks good. Just need my wheels!

I actually got excited when I saw the busted u-joint. I was already changing my oil and rotating the tires, so a little more work wasn't that big of a deal - and it was a good learning experience. The impact will definately come in handy. Especially when I have to upgrade my drive shafts!

Wheels? With the skid plate you can just slide over the rocks.

Hey all,

I was thinking about tagging along with you guys on saturday but ive never been on any black trails before. I was at rausch las october with my gfs TJ sport and stayed on blues and greens.

I have a 06 Rubicon Unlimited pretty much stock with a 2 spring inch lift.
Do you think I would be able to make it through the black trails without screwing up my truck? Or are there bypass trails that I can take.

You are more than welcome to tag along. You should be fine on most of the blue trails and there are bypass trails for most of the black trails.

That is fine. I am just looking forward to being able to get out there with the doors off. The weather is showing close to 80 for saturday.

Sweet, I've got the hard top in my spray shop having the interior coated with Bedliner. If it's that nice, I'll probably throw on the soft doors too. Should be a good time, need to go grease the joints (the dreaded creaks are back!) I'll find out what's up with the 'Yota guys.
