If you'll be in Arlington then novajeepers will be a better fit if you're looking for trail rides and so forth. Rausch isn't too far from northern VA if you hit it without traffic.

Hey, can anyone make a recommendation as to a shop to do gears in my jku in the Arlington/DC/NOVA area? The shop I used last time did a horrible job and overcharged me. Just want it done right the first time! Thanks for any assistance guys.

I wish I paid a little more attention on novajeepers but I know Chaos fab up there gets good reviews. That forum would be a better place to ask localized questions and it's a much closer group.

I'm a buy outside of the group but I do visit nova every now and again.

I'm in the same boat, but I figure I'll be getting a creeper and doing the oil changes myself in he parking lot!

Not many shops around here anymore, let me know if you find any reputable place. I have given up and saving for G2 or Currie full replacements. Have about 9 months before I have to buy tires so I got time.

Last I heard, it was closed. I plan on heading that direction for spring break so we'll see if I make it to a gate that indicates "closed".

Update

I have heard (grain of salt here) from a couple of places that previously installed gears stating that all the reputable gear makers stopped making gears after the economic downturn. Companies are only building for non street applications. Couple of them pointed out that even 4 wheel parts no longer provides their Gold lifetime replacement warranty on installs because the gears are not reliable. Was told only overseas companies from China or similar are flooding the market. Again not sure how true but it all adds up in my mind
