If you need some stuff done, depending on what it is, get in touch with me or any local club guys and I'm sure we can help. The "offroad" shops around here are not very reliable in my 15 plus years in the area with multiple vehicles.

when I was living there, I found none that I would trust. I did use Pungo just for tires but that's it. When I went to get a lift, I hit every shop in the 7 cities and spoke to each of them. When I expressed that I would be checking geometry and would return for anything that wasn't done right, most told me to not return as they simply put the stuff on. I did use a Eastern just for a final check after I did the install and they let me in the shop. After spending some time with them, I would trust them. But like anything, maybe I got lucky and who knows if the same mechanics are still there.

Default VA Facebook Group

Hey everyone! If anyone is interested, I created a Facebook group today Virginia JKs. Just another way of communicating with everyone in the state due to the fact that some of the forums get a little out of date. Feel free to join if you're interested and lets see how many members we can get, and perhaps it will attract some folks who may not be on the forums as well. Let's see if we can get this group rolling so we can have a ton of outings once the good weather rolls around! Just search the name, and you should see it! Cheers

Default Shoe Creek

I heard a rumor it's been shut down due to some new land owners up there, and Forest Rangers are turning people away.. Has anyone been told different, or verified this?

I have run it within the last 3 weeks, so we can call that myth busted. STICK TO THE TRAIL. It is posted every 3-5 ft at one point on both sides. The land owner is making it very clear not to bushwhack it up. It's a great little day trail and has some really fun parts in it, but we'll lose it if we abuse it.
