I'm not far, outside of Manassas. I try to organize a trip once a month somewhere. But we just had the December trip today. Thinking of a red cloud trip in January. Keep checking back

I know it's late notice but I still might head to Shoecreek today if anyone wants to go.

Default Need good shop in VA/MD area

Need some guidance from fellow VA/DC/MD Jeepers...

I am looking for an honest mechanic/shop in the DC/VA/MD area that does great work on Jeeps and won't rip me off. I need a full lift kit, after market bead locks, 35" tires, front axle kit (the front axle kit involves some welding) and other minor stuff installed. I will most likely also have an after market front drive shaft to put on by the time the Jeep goes in to the shop.

Any recommendations based on personal experience or those of people you know personally?

Thanks in advance.

PS Hope to meet up and do some fun weekends with you guys once the Jeep comes out of the shop!

Danilo

You can probably do most of that is somebody's garage and save a TON of money. But if you're set on a shop, CP Off-road seems to be good, they're in gainesville, va.

First, welcome home.
I've used Eastern Truck and Accessories to clean up work from another shop. They charge top dollar for labor but have great customer service and back all their work. If it's beyond your mechanical capabilities, would recommend them if you've got the money to spare. They do alignments in-house and understand how to tune your suspension, which is not the case at your average alignment shop.

Since I PCS'd to the area though, have met a lot of guys who have experience installing lifts at work and clubs. Wish I had waited till I met more folks and done my lift myself. Would have been done right the first time and would have given me more experience myself. Just my two cents.

Good luck.
