Total newbie here, but me and a buddy are going to take our stock Sahara's to the top of Flag Pole Knob. Plan is to camp locally (or on the trail) Friday then do some wheel'n on Saturday, camp again.
Others are welcome to join us or maybe we'll see you out there? If anyone wants to recommend any trail specifics or alternative trails that would be great too. If all goes well we were thinking of doing a different trail on Sunday.
Goes without saying, but we'll be treading lightly and wheeling responsibly.
Thanks!

Anyone in the stafford Fredericksburg area who wants to do some light to moderate wheeling or know of a place that we could wheel? Looking for some local jeep buddies!

OBX Changes
So I'm out here in Rodanthe, NC. Yes, I paid my 50 bux and watched some crappy movie about ORVing on the OBX. I did Ramp 27 south of Randanthe, really nice beach, flat as can be and lots of space between the dunes and the water. But then I went to Ramp 4 (near the coast guard station and marina) before the Oregon Inlet Bridge today...and wow...what a huge change. I remember going there in 2010 and being able to drive under the bridge and stuff. It is nothing but a small strip now. That hurricane must have really wiped this area up pretty badly. Maybe I don't come here enough to realize the changes, but that whole area is completely different from I remember. It is crazy!
Jeep at Ramp 27 and my woman and kid
Ramp 27 shot after we accidentally kicked a soccer ball a long ways away
Ramp 4 Dunes, Shells and oily stuff
Ramp 4 Ocean...really close, right?! High tide was near.
Oregon Inlet Bridge...was it this eroded or am I crazy?
On a more fun note, I got to pull a Honda Pilot out of the sand that dug himself in pretty deep...strike that, I pulled him out initially, his 4WD didn't have the umph to get through the sand and I had to pull him farther back so he could get a running start out of Ramp 27. Fun times in the sand. I wish I had pictures and video to chronicle that one...now if only I could get the in-laws to take their Toyota Highlander out so we could see who wins the next challenge.

I'm in stafford also. If you find any local areas to wheel, I would go along. Mostly free on the weekends.
