any reviews of Evan's off road in Bay Shore? I've read all good things, but just heard one bad review. Any other 4x4 shops around other than Evan's and Planet that are reputable and fairly priced?

Ive used Evan in the past, great guy that does great work. I would highly recommend him.

thanks for the replies guys. going with John at Goonies in Patchogue(he's formerly of Planet and now rents some bays from them for his own business). Was a really friendly dude with a competitive price and I just feel good about supporting a new shop where the owner knows how to treat people. Evan's price was a bit high compared to the other three shops I called and he wasn't able to get it in for two weeks so that was a no go.

Hey whats up... new to the jeep. Just picked up a 14 about 3 weeks ago. Just installed the trucklites headlights.

Looking to install tereflex 2.5 with bilstein shocks just waiting on possible black friday sales before purchasing. anyone know of a good place to have them installed or a place i can rent a lift to do it myself?

Just went through a similar search for a shop at the last minute. I spoke to Evan in Bay Shore who is highly regarded - price was a bit higher than others, but the big issue for me was that he didn't have time for two weeks. Planet in Patchogue was good, but I kind of like to know who is working on my vehicle rather than dropping it at a big shop. I really like Blackstone (631)353-3825 in Southampton, they were just too far from me and the logistics of dropping the Jeep and getting rides would've been tough. I wound up with John at Goonies Garage(631) 639-5350 in Patchogue. John used to work for Planet and now rents some bays from them and by all accounts is a top notch dude. I don't have any personal experience but many people say to stay away from RMS and The Truck Shop.
