I don't do the NYS Beach permit.. its for fishing not recreational 4x4.. I looked into it, and its not for me. I will have a Suffolk County Beach permit tho. that beach allows recreational 4x4 and day tripping, which is what Im looking to do

I am not sure which is which... I got the one at robert moses... it listed like 9 beaches and said I could drive on them in areas day and night... I needed to bring fishing stuff but I dont need to be fishing.. granted I am not going to be fourwheeling like a mad man but I do know that places like Gilgo are not going to be a hassel to drive on and Democrats point is more a rec ride then a fishing trip...

Where doest hte suffolk county one let you drive ?? I will get that one too just so I am double covered hahaha

I am basically looking to have my ass covered if I am driving on the beach and camping and stuff like that... Smiths point is the only place I know you can kinda have fun.. but I am going to try them all out for sure hahahaha

I just wish I knew some trails somewhere on longisland that I could get dirty on... nothing insane, just some mud and some dirt and grass... loging road or something... anything hahah..

there is a place by be in oysterbay where you can get into this trail but it is totally not legal but i always go with my police friend. you can get in off of a side street once your in it's all good the law can't get in there and you have to go in at night but it is so much fun. granted some of the trails are really narrow so you do get some branches in the face. but it's got some pretty technical stuff. i don't even know who own the land. it is an old motor bike trail. there are huge jumps in there and stuff and big puddles. the only thing is you can't go in there until there are leaves on the trees cause people from the mail road would see your lights beaming on them. but im sure one night this summer on a weekend we could sneak a few jeeps in there

i went almost every other weekend last summer
