As far as getting out during the storm... I live 100 feet from the open bay. I have too many things to worry about than getting some pictures. We just got the mandatory evacuation notice...
Ouch that sucks about the evacuation. Stay safe out there

Thanks for the input mike. I felt the same way that as long as I had all my gear and respected the speed limit and the other beach goers that I shouldn't have many issues. As far as the storm goes good luck with the evacuation and bless you and your family. Hope you and everyone else on here from LI get through the storm safely and soundly

Hope everyone weathered the storm safely. Were lucky enough to have power and everything in Queens and in Long Island. I know there are many people this storm hit very hard. Please let us know if we can help.

Anyone near east setauket? Got friends up there and haven't been able to get through to them. Thoughts and prayers to everyone affected up there.

Still don't have power or phone service in Huntington Station. Power restored to much of the "downtown" area. Many traffic lights are still out. Be careful out there, lots of idiots out driving.
