Haha I've been through it before, I had an 06 and I did the whole deal haha lift tires everything. The new ones are sooo nice especially the pentastar plans right now are a 2.5 inch lift and I can't decide between 33s or 35s, my buddy said he'd give me a hand re-gearing so I'll prob do 4.10s or 4.56s since it comes with 3.21 :( its a black 2door 6 speed btw

I have the 2012 Rubicon which comes with 4:10's. I have 35s and think i may like 4:56's better.
Here is what Im experiencing.
ON the LIE when going up a hill in 6th gear my jeep slows down unless I down shift to 5th.
Im getting about 16-18 mph out of 1st gear.
3rd gear at 2400 rps is where the strongest power is.

If I go to 4:56's im going to lose MPG's but gain better offroad and onroad power, make 1st gear even shorter, and Ill also lose the mpg savings when in 6th.

Im going to see how well it holds up off road before I make up my mind to go a little higher.

Good to know thanks for the info, it's gonna be my daily and maybe a trip or two a year to rausch...that and beach wheeling will be about all it'll see haha. What's your mpg about with the 35s and does anyone bust your chops on the beach with those?

Ive only had mine month so far and havent had it on the beach yet. I dont know what im walking into with that yet.
As far as MPG's im at 14.2 and I do mostly local driving from Farmingville to Ronko train station and then im running around where ever on the weekend. I have not reprogrammed it yet for the wheel size, im thinking im really somewhere between 15-16.
