Just got back from Trailfest 2010. Absoulte awesome time wheelin' Gutter and Deadfall. I actually won the biggest prize of the raffle, a Warn M8000 winch. So, since I have a winch already, this one is for sale.

Warn M8000, brands new in box, never opened. Cheapest I found online was $540 shipped. Selling for $500 firm.

SOLD! Thanks.

Trailfest 2010 pics.

Bent the window frame, wrecked the soft top, broke the soft top door frame, and more dents on the 1/4. Great time!

You can't put in your requests for days off ahead of time? These past few months have been great. You picked a horrible month to wheel (Mettowee), but since then it's been awesome. You should really come in September to BTC. We all take the Orient Point ferry since the spot is 10 minutes from the New London ferry. Driving around is WAYY too far. Though, I can't make it since it's on Sept. 18 and I'm going to PA to watch a concert. Unless Joe changes the date, I'm off for that event.

How does a Jeep Jamboree compare to some of the JK-Forum organized events? I was originally going to go (though the Jamborees sell out fast), then I went on 2-3 jk-forum organized events (2x to RC and 1xPineBarrens). In general do you think the Jamborees are worth the money (ie. it can end up if you bring passengers)?

I've written about this subject, here and in other places. I feel that jamborees are very different from other trips, enough so, that I think everyone should at least try one once before claiming they aren't worth the money. I really enjoy the diversity of the:

People, especially the newbies,
Trails, many of which are private land,
Jeeps,
Entire experience.

Like I said, try it before you knock it. There's a reason they sell out 9 months out, in a matter of weeks once available.
