Chock the wheels, place tranny in neutral, pull the cover and check the ring gear. Spin the driveshaft with your hand to rotate the ring gear. See where the chunks are coming from. That is NOT normal.

not sure, i want to do it all at once. just looking around for the best prices at this point. Doing suspension first. Im running OME HD coils now it is FLEXYYYYYY!!!!!! Gonna do OME shocks then body lift and some track bars, prob driveshafts i just started to rip the front boot on sunday.... then ill start preparing for the bigger rubber

Trying to figure out if my tie rod ends are shot, is it normal to be able to move the tie rod and drag link by hand to the point where it is hitting metal on metal? I am getting a metal clanging, rattle sound over bumps that sounds similiar to this.

It shouldn't be your ends. Yes, you can rotate the tie rod and draglink by hand. They are sealed units, if the boots aren't ripped, they should be good. My tie rod is bent to shit, but the ends are still intact and working properly.
