I was just on the RC site looking at the current conditions. The park got about 12"
Also I decided that I am buying the year pass next time I go. Especially because of the new $10 extra for the new part of the park. If I go the same amount of times as last year:
13 x 45 = 585
Year pass= 300 and you dont pay extra for the new 1250 acres
no brainer. plus if i buy the year pass ill have to at least get my money's worth out of it

what are you living under a rock lol?
They added 1250 acres!
you know when you pull up to the park (on the side when you have to make a left into the lot) across the street all that open land... its an extra $10 to wheel that area

We got a "dusting".
Adam, what type of wheelin' goes on in a Jamboree? I just can't fathom paying soo much for a trail, with SOO many people on the trail, for wheelin' that is not "exciting". Is it really worth it or is it mainly a family affair?

Jeep jamborees, and I've discussed this on the forum a lot including a current thread about the killington Jam, are:
-major fun
-very very serious wheeling
-very moderate wheeling
-tame wheeling
(they have many different trails to select from)
-family fun
-a completely different experience than going to RC with a group on your own.
if you want, go to JeepTales.com and click on the past events link at top & read about the events. I've written about the poconos, catskills, killington, mohawk & the trail, MA events.
Much of the land they use is private so you can only access it during the events.
the people that come range from hard core wheelers to yuppies with kids who are curious aa to what their mall crawlers can do (they usually come back the following year with lifts, tires, skids, etc! it's fun to watch!)
the price is up there. JJUSA added 'trails only' which is lower cost and no food.
the events sell out quickly. especially Killington & Catskills, two of my favorites. I think they are alreadly only available with food (trails only sold out).
I personally think everyone here (ie, Jeepers with even the slightest interest in off-roading) should attend at least one Jeep jamboree. it's worth it. then you decide if you want to keep coming back.
(soap box dismount here)

I see. Maybe one year soon I'll give it a try. Though Rausch isn't the trail I compare to All the other private and public trails we go on are my comparison trails.
