Just spoke to Evan, if he said that was cheap. That comes out to $250 an axle. You need to factor in gear oil as well, labor, and gears. Let's just say he gets the gears at NR prices, $550 for the gears with overhaul kits, so $500 left, $250 an axle. He thinks something's off with the price.
Did you get the 5.13s installed or was it just a quote?

Just got off the phone with Evan again and gave him updated prices and had a LONG discussion about gears, installs, bearings, etc. He said he CAN match the $1,050 pricetag if he uses gears with INSTALL kits, not overhaul kits. He said since all of our JKs have decently low mileage, you CAN re-use the carrier bearings. So NR has the gears and install kits for $420, so that leaves $630 for install, $315 per axle. He said he can match that with fluids as well.
But, you need to make sure if you're going from a 3.21 axle, to get a high ratio carrier for the new gearsets if you're going to stay open. If you're going to get locked, that changes the price since overhaul kits will be the better choice (BUT NOT NEEDED) and labor goes up a tad (especially for ARB, E-Locker, OX, etc.).
ANY question you want to ask, give him a call direct. Phone number on the bottom. Once it gets a little warmer, he's going to have a nice open house with all of our rigs and wants to invite everyone.

Same man, lol would love tp put that ratio in the rear. First things first, my two most wanted parts are an oil plan skid cover and the Superchips programmer.
