Thats it. Need skid protection, had to take the stock tranny skid off with the lift.
You can use the stock skid. What I did was notch the front of the skid, the ds still hit slightly.. Then I put 4 washers in between the 3 mounting bolts for the skid. The ds clears it now I don't understand why AEV doesn't say that in the directions. Also, lift your jeep in the rear from the frame and see if the rear coils unseat. Mine did and I added TF 1/2" spacers to correct it.

adam i replied to the thread, basically said you can notch your tranny skid to put off buying the new ds for a little while but its just putting off the inevitable, you will need a good set of Tom Woods or whoever eventually

Racer831 thanks. I will think about that option for the tran skid. As far as the rear coils thats a great idea. Without realizing my left rear coil unseated when I had wheels balanced. Jeep rode like crap. Inspected rear and found spring contacting track bar tower. AEV said it won't happen on trail, but I'm not so sure.

Quick question for everyone...

Does anyone have the stock bolts for the triangular shaped stock skidplate/crossmember?
I believe it's the tranny skidplate. (furthest up front)

I used to have the skycrapper lift that relocated this down 1/2" but the hardware went when I sold the lift and no stock hardware to be found.

I believe it's three bolts with the built in washers.

I'd like to put the skidplate back on soon.
Thanks!!

Well, ok, different

So all he has to do is use his winch to get off that pole.
