The winch is wired directly to the battery.

If you're going to run lots of aux. electrical loads, invest in an aux. fuse block. I have a 7 circuit fise block from Painless Wiring. I run my aux. lights, 12v plug-ins (GPS, XM radio, etc.), etc. of of it.

That, or go with a unit from 12voltguy. He has a JK unit with aux. fuses plus relays for everything you need.

Smitty winch which I've seen 6 grenade so far and/or physical malfunction (3 handles ended up on the hands of the owner) or one that is stout and will last.

Not everyone likes playing in the mud and water.

Although the winch is a good idea. For me to use it at full capacity should I get skids, rails and such?

Oh, if you don't have any of those, definitely get rails.

I'm partial to Shrockworks. I'm a fan of chassis mount vs. body mount. I've come down HARDa LOT of times on mine, no deflection. I've held the entire JK up with the Hi-Lift on the rails, no deflection.

Get the EVO's, welded on plus look GREAT.

yeah unfortunately I dont have those yet. I have the tubular side steps which offer me nothing. Maybe I can find someone to make a trade. Or just sell them later on down the line

Throw them on CL.

Look into Shrockworks, PureJeep, EVO, OR FAB. They make good rails.

You'll be happy with either. Once I get bored of these, I'm going EVOs. But, no issues with my Shrockworks and I put them through a workout everytime I wheel, drag them from front to back all the time, I come down on them HARD, etc. Love them.
