Welcome to the Long Island thread!!! You should be okay with the 2.5 coil lift possibly a new front shaft. Its people with longer shocks that have rip their boots leading to need new ds. Joey the size of the tires does not effect the driveline angles-lift does. because the tires lift everything up if you get what im saying. The reason you tore the boot is because the tf shocks allow you to flex more than stock which stretched your driveshaft too far. It could have been done on any size tires.

yea I totally understand man... I have a full kit sitting in my kitchen right now that is on hold... cant afford anything...
Sister is getting married comming up too and the wedding has been an expensive ordeal so far (I thought its only expensive when I get married!! haha guess not)
good luck man, and save your pennys haha thats how I ended up getting my TF kit... I just made the mistake of relying on my CC too much for rims / tires hahahahah still paying that off :(

the 2.5 coil lift on an auto will make the front shaft JUST BARELY touch the tranny pan right at the spot where the metal clamp is. it'll bend the clamp loose & cause the boot to tear. there are threads on it.
some guys remove the clamp & replace it with zip ties instead. this way the tip breaks but the boot is in tact. carry extra ties.
search for the thread.
I have the TF 2.5 with shock extensions.

I shredded the boot running stock shocks with extensions. But that same day I also did some other stuff with m JK I don't plan on doing ever again...
I will say, currently I'm running without a tranny skid because the Tom woods shaft (smaller diameter than stock) will hit the trans skid real bad. I trimmed the front of the skid about 3/4" and it still hits. Going to add a few washers behind the bolts and it should work out fine.
