Thanks Adam.. Im actually in between 4 different bumpers right now....
yours, only non-winch mount, the AEV (not sure what I would do with the winch mount), ARB (comes with place to block off winch mount), and LoD's new full width (They can make it for me without winch mount I think)... the Price of the MOPAR bumper puts it ahead of the rest.

I just wish the "wings" were tucked up higher closer to the flares.

Default Hi

Hey!
I live on Long island and have been a Wrangler owner for 11 years. I have a 1998 Wrangler Sport, currently a 2007 Sahara Unlimited and just placed an order for a 2010 Rubicon Unlimited (trading the Sahara).
I didn't know if there were any places to go off-roading on Long Island......
Anyway, great reading the posts!

Deb

Thre are no places on Long Island to go wheeling. Not legal anyway. I'm part of Long Island Off Road, sanctioned by NEA. NOVA4x4 now. We have access to lots of land in PA, NJ, CT, MA, and NH. Do lots of wheeling up there. If you're interested in wheeling, come by the LIOR meeting tomorrow night at 7PM.

Welcome Deb!!!!!

Brendan, im going full width because im trying to keep the JK "stockish" looking.

shortys are MUCH better off road, but the reality is I dont wheel all that much.. much more time is spent on the street, and the full width offers a bit of a cleaner look.. of course that only my opinion..

You can hit the beaches permits depending, and there are a few areas you can go for sure... As was mentioned they are not 100% legal but there is one place that I think is... and a few others where no one is going to bother you at all for doing it...

Its out there... just gotta know where

Deb, if you want to do any real off roading, come out to Rausch next time we go. Its a good time, and legal. just be aware your skid plates are going to scrape rocks and all sorts of fun stuff
