yup I did win the kit... and I can honestly say that if I didnt win the kit there would be no way I would have it... I don't have the funds to drop 3500$ on a lift no way in hell hahahaha and I barely had the funds to do my 2.5'' lift and then later do rims and tires... I am still paying that stuff off...

I mean sure, if I had the money I wouldnt mind spending it.... but I dont have 1500$ to spend on install, I am not sure how winning the kit has anything to do with having the $$ to install the kit

If I had saved $ for the kit and then won it, then by all means I would be psyched to have it installed...

as of now I went from being broke as hell
to being broke as hell with a kit that is expensive to install
meaning its going to be a while....

I did check with "the truck shop" a place in west islip.... on there site they have about 15 JK's lifted up from 2''-5'' long arm and they all look pretty serious... talking to the guy on the phone and he seemed like he was really knowledgeable with lifts and so on...

Also when I asked what types of kits they have installed he did mention Trailmaster as one of the brands, among superlift, rancho, and skyjacker. he did say shortly after that that skyjacker is not a typical lift for him though because he is not really big on there product... which leads me to believe he's a honest guy anyway, the quote for them was "a thousand bucks with the alignment and everything worked out most likely"

500$ is a good bit of difference but if I end up saving up I will prob end up forking over the other $$ in the long run to get the install done with your buddy...

I am thinking my best bet is to start and have the DS's installed first and then save up for other parts... I just dont know if I can do the DS's with out doing the kit being that I only have a 2.5'' TF lift right now so I am prob 2'' shorter then the 5'' springs and shocks...

Just Empty Every pocket.... maybe I will get my quarterly bonus soooon hahaha that might help...

Anyone wana buy some Audio gear ??? hahahaha

You really need adjustable control arms to install the Driveshafts.

I really do appreciate it...

I mean honestly after I put the wheels on said to my self thats it till March... no more parts... then I ended up having to get the tire carrier which I got for a SWEET price from a fellow islander thanks again man!!

and I said THATS it no more at all.!@>@!@#!@

then I won this kit and I am like OH WOW this is everything I want!!! but I need to stop spending $$$ like crazy!!! so I am heistant to drop another 1500+ on something that I never had the $$ for in the first place hahaha...

Eventually I am going to get it on... just might take longer then I like... :(
If it does drag out that far in time then maybe it would be fun to make a weekend of it and do some wheeeeeling woohooo!

thanks again for the support and offer...

Whats Up Joey ???

Who cares "when" you do it, as long as it gets done when you are ready IMO.
The parts will be ready and waiting when you are ready to go -- thats the important part, right ??? You are already ahead of the game without having to purchase the lift. Some people will never get to that point. Enjoy the JEEP you just put together prior to the WIN !!! It looks AWESOME the way it is.

Good Luck to you.

PEACE

In all honesty, if you already have 35s and the 2.5" lift, you're golden. If I had won the kit, I would sell it in a heartbeat and put the money toward other things. With $3,500 you can regear, lockers, and shafts. That kit is too high for my taste, unless you're planning on 37s+.

well I had thought about it... but I tore my drive shaft boots at RC last weekend.... and I already have lockers and d44's and to be honest I am ok with 410's for now... (for now)

Its just a matter of saving up and waiting when I can afford it hopefully thats soon

joey your jk is great just the way it is build it up as you can afford to, the lift will be there when your wallet allows, dont spend it if you dont have it , look at what it was capable of this weekend , give your pockets a break
