I'm curious - why get the Sahara model if you're going to set it up for off road? (not being sarcastic or nasty in any way here). I was debating and doing spreadsheets on the cost of Rubicon v. X model and adding lockers, skids, etc. I never considered the Sahara since it is about as expensive as a Rubi but without the lockers, eDisco, and 4:1 transfer case.

I do like the Sahara's painted fenders, but not on the trail! ;-)

when i bought my jeep, i had no intention on wheeling it.. I just got caught by the bug.

Although, I am sort of glad i didnt buy the rubi.. Id rather ARB's than e lockers, The E-Disco is problematic (why i ordered a S/T sway), and I want an Atlas transfer case (if i had a rubi, I think id have all the same feelings) I liked the painted flares when i bought it because the black ones tend to fade.. but i have black now anyways

I hear ya. my thought was:
1) I get all the neat toys in the rubi from day one,
2) I can finance it all into the auto loan,
3) it's all covered by not only the lifetime powertrain warranty but also by the lifetime B2B extended warranty I bought.

But I can certainly see the rationalle for different thoughts.
