So what beaches can we drive on? I heard Smith's Point has an area...anywhere else? Any place where I can drive on the beach and camp overnight?

ARGH!!! I went to the beaches anyway later just to see if they reopened them. I had sandwiches, fishing gear, and my kids all ready. We went to OBI and fished off the pier instead.

What a bummer!

Sad to see your ride was canceled yesterday.

I drove over to a few gas stations around the entrance to the RM in the morning looking for you guys, just to introduce myself.. couldn't find anyone. Went to the gas station by LaGrange and two east of the RM by the bagel shop.. must have been too early.

I spent the day on a bluff overlooking the sound out in Baiting Hollow.. weather was damn near perfect...but only got a mile of dirt under my tires..

Are the beaches open today? I'd be willing to give it another try.

Just when my family decided to give it a go, Smiths is CLOSED again !!
It seems like it is the only place you can go w/o a yearly pass.

Is there another local spot I am missing like this.

PEACE !!!

I just called Smith b4 my last pot and they said it was closed.
Does that mean ALL of the beach is closed? He kind of rushed me off the phone. lol Although I am pretty sure he meant closed to ALL...
